Give the Gift of Safety this #GivingTuesday

Safer Together

This #GivingTuesday, PlaySafe is asking our community to help us keep more kids safe. Every 5 seconds, a child under the age of 19 visits an emergency department due to sports-related injuries and the secondary school athletic population leads the nation in athletic-related deaths. Only 42% of these schools have access to a full-time athletic trainer, and even less have the necessary supplies to treat injuries or respond to life-threatening medical situations. Each year, PlaySafe welcomes more than 50,000 student-athletes into athletic training rooms in 26 middle schools and high schools across two states. When injuries occur, PlaySafe has a staff of 40 athletic trainers available to provide services to the schools and communities we serve.

Give today to help us provide necessary personnel and life-saving supplies that keep the children in our community safe, healthy, and active.

A Global Day of Giving

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

On November 30, 2021, join the movement and give - whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community. It’s a simple idea. Whether you come together with your family, your community, your company or your organization, find a way to give back and then share your idea. Visit givingtuesday.org to learn more.
